Minister Fahmi Praises 123 Firms for RM22 Million Contribution to 2025 National Day Festivities
PUTRAJAYA, Oct 23 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his appreciation to 123 corporate and industry partners whose combined sponsorship contributions exceeding RM22 million helped ensure the success of this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) celebrations.
Speaking at the HKHM 2025 Appreciation Ceremony in Putrajaya yesterday, Fahmi — who also chairs the celebration’s main committee — commended the collective effort and strategic collaboration between public and private sectors that made the event possible.
According to the ministry, the Sponsorship Committee secured a total of RM22.31 million, consisting of RM1.96 million in cash and RM20.35 million in goods and services, channelled towards various components of the nationwide celebration.
“Alhamdulillah, the contributions from our 123 strategic partners are very meaningful and have brought great joy to Malaysians who joined the festivities,” Fahmi said in his speech.
“We deeply value the continuous cooperation shown by our corporate and industrial partners, and we hope this spirit of collaboration will continue for future National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.”
Fahmi also expressed confidence that with ongoing support from stakeholders, future editions of HKHM would continue to grow in scale, vibrancy, and patriotic spirit.
He further thanked the organisers, volunteers, and agencies involved, noting that the 2025 celebrations ran smoothly and successfully in both Putrajaya and Penang.
At the ceremony, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) acting deputy editor-in-chief Mohd Shukri Ishak received a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the agency for its contribution to media coverage and public engagement throughout HKHM 2025.
More than 100,000 visitors were recorded at Dataran Putrajaya on August 31, where the National Day celebrations took place in a festive and orderly atmosphere.
The event was graced by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah, together with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, both Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Cabinet members, and international guests.
Meanwhile, the Malaysia Day celebration on September 16 saw thousands gather at the PICCA Convention Centre@Arena Butterworth in Penang, where a colourful and inclusive programme highlighted unity and cultural diversity under the theme of national pride.
Fahmi said the ministry will continue strengthening partnerships with both government-linked companies and private enterprises to enhance future HKHM celebrations, aiming to make them even more inclusive and representative of Malaysia’s multicultural identity.
